Why Join the Society?
The links between Britain and Lithuania are becoming much closer as a result of Lithuania’s membership of the European Union and NATO from 2004.

By joining the British-Lithuanian Society, you will have the opportunity to make your own distinctive contribution to the expansion of ties between Britain and Lithuania, and keep up to date with the important developments taking place in Lithuania, and in the Central European region, more widely.

Members of the British-Lithuanian Society receive the Society’s journal Tiltas (‘The Bridge’) free of charge.

The Society is keen to provide advice and assistance to support projects in Lithuania, and has established The Tiltas Trust to further its charitable work.

People who have joined the Society have found it to be an excellent means of meeting like-minded people in a stimulating and friendly atmosphere.

Membership

Different classes of membership are available:

  • Ordinary £20
  • Sustaining £45
  • Corporate £90
  • Student £5
  • Life £300

The supplement paid by the latter two classes contributes towards the Society’s work via The Tiltas Trust.

Corporate members may get a free advertisement in the Society’s journal Tiltas.

Should you wish to join the Society you may either contact the B-LS Secretary directly or download the Membership Application Form above.

Sustaining and Corporate Membership is for those who wish to support the work of the Society’s charitable trust, The Tiltas Trust.

Ordinary Membership covers the costs of producing the Society’s journal Tiltas and leaves no surplus.

The Season (which helps to reduce management overheads) allows free entry to all regular Society functions at the Lithuanian Embassy (but not at other venues).
